Cataloging D&D #1-Boxed Sets

I decided to catalog my collection of D&D games. I'm starting with all the boxed sets I currently own.

First up is my Holmes Edition originally published in 1977. As with most of these I'm not certain which printing so I'm going with the year it was first printed.

Next up is the 1981 Molday B/X set.

Now we have the most recognizable set, the 1983 Red Box. The Mentzer edited version that was the first in what is known as the BECMI series.

The 1983 Expert Set, Second in the BECMI line. I'm missing the Companion Set so well move along to,

The Master Rules from 1983, fourth in BECMI.

Finally the 1983 Immortals Rules finishes off BECMI.

Now for the first one I ever owned. The 1991 New Easy to Master Dungeons & Dragons.

To go with the Black Box I have one of the adventure sets, The Dragon's Den from 1992.

Jumping ahead a few years, 2008 for the 4th Edition Starter Set. The only 4th Edition item in my collection.

The 5th Edition Starter Set from 2014.

5th Edition once more. This time the 2019 Stranger Things tie-in. And that's it for D&D sets I own. But I do have some non-D&D sets from TSR I want to add.

Dragon Quest, a 1992 simplified version of D&D.

Much like Dragon Quest the 1993 Dragon Strike game is a simplified version of D&D. This time including a VHS tape teaching you how to play. Sadly my tape is lost.

From 1982 the first RPG I ever owned was Star Frontiers.

Top Secret/S.I. from 1987.

The Bullwinkle and Rocky Role Playing Party Game from 1988. Still has the hand puppets. Who needs minis?

Well, that's all for my box sets. I will continue these posts going through my other Dungeons & Dragons game stuff as well as my other TSR games.

Fantasy Art

It's been a little while since I've posted any new art. I have plenty that has just been sitting around on my hard drive. I figure it's about time to share it.

Fantasy Characters Chapter 4

Back once more with another group of my recently created fantasy characters. I'm almost done with this series. But I have two follow ups to go with it.

First up is Mia Shadowmend. A mysterious witch who haunts the town from time to time.

King Underlander II rules with a firm yet fair hand.

Qheenkel is the queen of the undead, a lich of unmatched power who wants to rule the living as well as the dead.

Rovonn is a bugbear chieftain and a fierce warrior who terrorizes the countryside.

Broddi Pennington, a werewolf who calls the forests of the kingdom his home.

Fantasy Characters Chapter 3

Continuing with my fantasy characters I created and drew up recently.

Let's start out with the Bard, Trixi Rarozi.

Talented with a beautiful voice and a knack for verse, she is always upbeat and cheerful.

The Inn Keepers Manfred and Mahald Greyswift look out for the adventuresome when they are in town and not on a quest.

Last one for now. Mistia Grail, the Sage. Ancient and wise, keeper of much lore and knowledge.

There are a few more yet to be revealed but this is all for now. Until next time.

Fantasy Characters Chapter 2

Here are four more of the characters I drew up recently.

First up we have the wizard Othar Ivys.

He's a bit past his prime and his spells don't always work out right anymore. But he perseveres.

Next we have a wandering barbarian nomad known as Vith Furclan.

She has left her people to go exploring and is always restless and never stays in one place for too long.

Ronald the Righteous is the Cleric.

His faith has been sorely tested of late but that has only made it grow that much stronger.

Finally we come to the noble Knight, Giffard of the Mountains.

Much like his name, he is strong and immovable.

Fantasy Characters Chapter 1

Time to resurrect this blog.

The past nearly a year has been rough. But I have been creative of late and needed to do something with it.

I've drawn up a series of fantasy characters that I'll be posting about for the foreseeable future.

First up is a warrior or fighter who goes by the name of Storm Proudsword.

He is heroic and noble, not interested in personal gain. He lives to fight for the good of people.
Next up we have a mischievous thief known as Gina Crowmark.

She is quiet and dangerous, never to be fully trusted.
